How does the planning process work?

  • Once I receive your trip request I will reach out to schedule an introductory call. I’ll get to know you, including your trip vision and travel style, and you’ll learn more about working with me. This initial call is key to me personalizing this trip for you down to every last detail.

    At this stage I will provide a quote for my Trip Design Fee (typically $200 per day of travel). Once payment is complete and my agreement is signed I’ll start working on your trip!

  • I’ll put together a detailed itinerary proposal including options for hotels, tours, activities, and special experiences. For multi-destination trips, this will also include recommendations on trip flow, logistics, and ideal length of stay.

    I’ll share this with you for your feedback and any edits, and we’ll go from there. The process can be as collaborative or hands-off as you’d like.

    When the first booking is complete, I’ll also provide an optional insurance quote.

  • Once we’ve finalized the day-by-day itinerary, it’s time for finishing touches like dining reservations, recommendations for local bars/cafes and shopping.

    I’ll also share relevant travel tips & entry requirements for your destination (e.g., VISAs, vaccines).

  • When it’s time for your trip, you’ll be ready to depart with your itinerary link and travel app to guide you throughout your journey. For more nuanced trips, like Safaris. an optional pre-trip call will be scheduled to review all details and answer any last questions. Once you’re on your trip myself and my ground partners will be on-call to assist you with anything that comes up while traveling.

  • Once you’re back I’ll reach out to hear all about the trip and start planning the next one!
